As the current Chairman of the Parish Council I would like to welcome you to the newly updated Parish Council website.   The site has taken a little longer to develop than we had hoped but will now be updated on a regular basis and we hope you enjoy it.  If you have any items that you think could usefully be added or if you have a local organization that you would like listed please let us know.

The Parish Council is currently in a healthy financial position and we look forward to maintaining the level of services which you have all been accustomed to in the last few years, we share costs of many services with Worcester City Council with a view to achieving a high standard of maintenance of the area that we all live in.  Currently we support the Warden Service and Dog Bins but with the economic state of Worcester City Council we may be called upon to support other services in the coming years.  In addition we support Lyppard Grange Community Centre with an annual grant, this may also have to increase due to the City Council’s reduction in grant aid and their intention to pass on maintenance costs to the Centre.

For my part I still wish to see more done for the youth of the area and continue to push for more facilities for them.  Many agencies are working towards this goal but they each have their own priorities and no-one seems to own the problem.  Much more could be done by pooling these resources and having a focus on the issue instead of the current fragmented approach.  Hopefully if we continue to make a noise about this things will change for the better !
